Privacy Policy

The short version

Chord Sequence does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking pixels. Your chord progressions are saved to your browser's local storage and never transmitted to any server.

What data is stored — and where

When you use Chord Sequence, the app stores the following data locally in your browser using the Web Storage API (localStorage):

• Names of your saved songs
• Chord sequences and BPM settings for each song
• App preferences (such as selected instrument sound)

This data lives entirely on your device. Clearing your browser's site data or storage will erase it. We have no access to this data and it is never sent to our servers.

No accounts, no registration

Chord Sequence does not offer user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or any other personally identifying information.

External requests

The app makes one external request for web fonts:

• Google Fonts — to load the Inter, Lora, and Space Mono typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google may log your IP address and browser type when these fonts are requested. This request does not set any tracking cookies and is not used for advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

No analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers are loaded by this site.

Hosting and server logs

Chord Sequence is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamp) as part of normal web hosting operations. This data is processed by Netlify under their own Privacy Policy. We do not access individual server logs for tracking or profiling purposes.

Cookies

Chord Sequence does not set any cookies. The app uses localStorage (not cookies) to persist your data between sessions.

Children's privacy

Chord Sequence is a general-purpose music tool with no age restrictions. Because we collect no personal data, the app is safe for use by people of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Because we do not have your contact information, we cannot notify you directly — we recommend checking this page periodically if you have concerns.
