Plan and rehearse

Open any song in the singer's key, and hear a band play it.

Songs from the Chord Sequence library are already in every team's repertoire. Tap the chart on a set list row: it opens in the leader's key, played back with piano, guitar, bass and drums. The guitarist and the pianist practise the right chords without transposing by hand.

This works for the songs in the Chord Sequence library. Songs you add yourself keep their key, BPM and notes, but have no chart to open.

The basics

What is a worship planner?

A worship planner is the tool a worship leader uses to prepare each service: choose the songs, decide who sings and plays what, and make sure everyone knows the plan. Most teams do it across a spreadsheet, a group chat and a folder of charts, and something always gets lost: the singer who is away that Sunday, the song in the wrong key.

Worship Planner keeps all of that in one place. It is a church service planner and worship team scheduling tool in one, made for volunteer-run teams that want something simple, and it connects to the chord charts so the music is ready too.

Spreadsheet and group chat compared with Worship Planner
What Spreadsheet + chat Worship Planner
Who plays what A column that is always out of date Drag a person onto a role; everyone sees it
Who is away You find out on Saturday night A red banner the moment you book them
Keys Written in a message, then lost Each singer’s key stored per song
Confirmations Replies scattered across a chat One tap, shown on the plan
Charts A folder of PDFs in different keys Library songs open in the leader’s key

How it works

From new team to Sunday plan in four steps.

  1. 01

    Create your team

Name it and add your people. Someone without an account yet can be added by name and takes their spot when they sign in.

  2. 02

    Plan the service

Pick the date, assign the roles, choose the songs and who leads each one. Copy last week’s service and change what is different.

  3. 03

    Invite the team

Send a link, or the invitation to their email. Each person sees only their own services and can set the days they are away.

  4. 04

    Publish and play

Publish the plan, share it as an image or PDF, and open each chart in the right key at rehearsal.

Questions

Before you create a team.

Straight answer

What it does not do yet

It does not send notifications by itself: publishing marks the plan as planned and you share it with the team. It does not show lyrics for projection, and it does not report song usage for licences.

Is Worship Planner free?

Yes. It is free to use today, with no limit on songs or services. You sign in with an email or a Google account to create or join a team.

Do my team members need an account?

To use the plan, yes: each person signs in once with their email or Google account. You can add people by name before they have one, and they take their spot when they join with your link or invitation.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It is a web app made for the phone first: a tab bar at the bottom, and a sheet to choose who plays each role. There is nothing to install.

Are our teams and songs private?

Teams are private. Only the people in a team can see its services, songs and members, and people join only with an invitation. The Chord Sequence songs you open are public chord pages.

Can I use my own songs?

Yes. Add songs one by one or import a file with your people and your repertoire. The planner keeps the title, author, key, BPM, length, tags and your notes. It does not store lyrics or chords of other people’s songs.

Does the chart open in the singer’s key?

For songs from the Chord Sequence library, yes: the chart opens in the key of whoever leads the song, and plays back with piano, guitar, bass and drums. Songs you add yourself have no chart to open.
